CoPulse Official Contest Rules

Version 2026-08-03·Effective 2026-08-10

These rules apply to every CoPulse contest unless the event details expressly say otherwise. The event page is part of these rules and identifies the scoring dates, team size, metric, prize pool, registration deadline, and payout schedule.

1. Sponsor and acceptance

CoPulse contests are sponsored and administered by Apex Health Network, Inc. (the Sponsor). Entry is free; no purchase or payment is required.

By entering, you accept these rules, the event details, the CoPulse Terms of Service, and the Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

You need an active CoPulse account and an active connected wearable profile. You may participate only where doing so is lawful. The Sponsor may apply additional event-specific eligibility restrictions shown before entry.

Winning does not require you to submit tax information or claim a prize. If you choose to claim, you must have an eligible tax residence, meet the minimum age, submit an accepted tax form, and pass any required fraud or compliance review.

  • Current claim jurisdictions: United States, Canada, and Australia.
  • Minimum claim age: 18 in the United States and Australia; 19 in Canada.
  • Each person may use only their own account, identity, and wearable data and, when claiming a prize, only their own tax information.

3. Schedule and entry

The event page shows the applicable registration deadline, scoring period, and finalization time. Those displayed dates and times govern the event. Standings update periodically and remain provisional until finalization.

Team entries must contain exactly the required number of eligible members when submitted. A regular-season team snapshot is managed automatically from eligible opted-in teams.

4. Scoring

Each event uses the scoring category shown on its event page: Recovery, Sleep, or Performance. Recovery and Sleep contests average the applicable CoPulse score across all scored event days; a day without enough eligible data counts as zero.

Performance contests combine CoPulse Recovery (38%), adjusted CoPulse Sleep (38%), and verified Load (24%) for each logged day, then average those daily results. A missing component contributes zero for that component. Sleep scores receive a 20-point deduction when sleep-stage data is unavailable.

A team's score is the arithmetic mean of its members' contest scores.

Wearable outages, delayed syncs, incomplete permissions, missing samples, provider corrections, and other data-quality issues can affect scoring. The leaderboard identifies the last date included and may change until finalization.

5. Rankings, ties, and regular seasons

Entries are ranked by score. Equal scores share the same competition rank. If a paid rank is tied, the amounts assigned to the occupied payout ranks are pooled and divided equally among the tied entries.

Winners are determined by final scores under these rules, not by random selection. The event page identifies the prize-bearing ranks and the award assigned to each rank.

For team prizes, each eligible member receives an equal share of the team award. A share belonging to an ineligible or suspended member is not redistributed.

At regular-season finalization, hidden teams are disqualified. In a regular season, if distinct teams share at least four members, the Sponsor treats connected overlapping teams as one group and keeps only the highest-scoring team eligible. If overlapping teams have exactly the same score, the Sponsor applies a consistent administrative tiebreaker solely to determine which overlapping team remains eligible. This does not change the prize-sharing rule for ordinary leaderboard ties.

6. Integrity and administration

Do not falsify, replay, manufacture, transfer, or manipulate health data; automate abusive activity; share accounts; use another person's wearable or, when claiming a prize, another person's tax identity; collude to evade eligibility rules; or interfere with CoPulse, a provider, or another participant.

The Sponsor may investigate, request reasonable verification, correct data or scoring errors, suspend an account, disqualify an entry, withhold a prize for review, or cancel or modify an event if fraud, abuse, technical failure, provider failure, or another integrity issue prevents fair administration.

The Sponsor will make administration and scoring decisions in good faith using the available records. Decisions are final to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these rules waives rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, participants release the Sponsor from claims arising from delayed or missing device data, network or software failures, unauthorized interference, or a necessary event correction, modification, suspension, or cancellation. This does not exclude liability or rights that applicable law does not allow the Sponsor to exclude.

7. Finalization and disputes

Results remain provisional during the finalization period shown in the app. You may submit a scoring dispute from the event page and should identify the affected event, date, metric, and issue. The Sponsor may prioritize, decline, or close reports and does not guarantee an individual investigation or response, subject to applicable law. The Sponsor is not required to reopen finalized results.

8. Prizes and taxes

Each prize is optional to claim and must be claimed separately from the CoPulse account to which it was awarded. Tax information cannot be submitted before an account wins a prize. If you do not want to provide tax information, you may leave the prize unclaimed.

To claim a prize, the winner must maintain an active accepted tax form, provide required attestations, meet the applicable age and jurisdiction rules, and pass any required review. A winner who chooses to claim may be subject to U.S. withholding when required. The winner remains responsible for applicable filing and payment obligations. The Sponsor may retain records related to a claimed prize as required for tax, fraud, and legal compliance.

After a complete claim and any required review, the Sponsor will send the eligible reward without unreasonable delay. The Sponsor treats the prize as delivered when it is made available to the winner; later use or redemption does not change that delivery date. Tax reporting and withholding are handled as required by applicable law.

There is no fixed self-service claim deadline in this version of the rules. Deleting your CoPulse account expressly forfeits every unclaimed prize. A cancelled, disqualified, ineligible, or forfeited share is not redistributed unless the event details expressly state otherwise.

9. Health Sharing & Contests

Contest entry requires the optional Health Sharing & Contests setting, which turns on CoPulse social and contest features. It permits the Sponsor to use selected connected health and wearable metrics for contest scoring and to show contest metrics, rank, profile identity, team identity, and provider attribution as described in the app.

You may turn this setting off at any time. While it is off, social features are unavailable, you are removed from active lobbies, your identity and health context are masked, and your displayed contest contribution is zero. If you turn it back on before finalization, the next scoring update recalculates your eligible data for the full event period, including dates while the setting was off. Those dates are not permanently scored as zero merely because the setting was off.

If the setting remains off at finalization, no prize share is issued to you. Other team members remain eligible, and an unavailable share is not redistributed.

Turning sharing off does not erase finalized standings or records the Sponsor must retain. Account deletion removes the primary account and health-data stores as described in the Privacy Policy, but historical contest and security records and records for any prize you chose to claim may remain or be de-identified.

10. Third parties and contact

Third-party device, platform, tax, and reward providers do not sponsor or administer CoPulse contests and are not responsible for them.
